This stunning bride was married over the weekend so I can now share this Maymont bridal portraits session!
When it comes to bridal portraits, finding the perfect backdrop can make all the difference. Recently, I had the incredible opportunity to photograph a beautiful bride in a breathtaking Italianate garden, and the results were truly magical. Emily chose the Italian Gardens at Maymont in Richmond, Virginia as the location for her bridal portraits. From the florals and greenery to the intricate architectural details, this enchanting setting provided a timeless elegance that perfectly complemented the bride’s grace and beauty.
Italianate gardens are renowned for their classic beauty, and this particular one was no exception. The meticulously manicured greenery, symmetrical layouts, and charming fountains created an atmosphere of old-world romance that seemed almost too perfect for a bridal portrait session. As soon as I stepped into the garden, I knew it was going to be the perfect location for Emily’s bridal portraits.
I still need to watch Bridgerton (I know!) but even without fully seeing the show, I knew Emily’s bridal look accentuated by this ideal location was definitely giving Bridgerton vibes.
We had the most s t u n n i n g golden light! I always schedule session start times to give us the best lighting.
Bridal portraits are not just about capturing beautiful images; they are about celebrating the bride and this special time in her life. I love when brides choose to add on bridal portraits, they are often displayed at the wedding, and can then be displayed in you or your family’s home for years to come.
With this dress, this veil, this garden we definitely had to do some frolicking
I loved getting to be creative with the dramatic lighting for some more moody portraits as well!
Emily wanted to frolick in her dress and this setting was truly perfect for it! She did amazing and we loved ending the session with lots of fun and laughter.
Bridal portrait sessions are such a nice way to take some time to celebrate the bride! Before the busyness of a wedding day, capturing the memories and creating these heirloom images you can pass down for generations. This Maymont Bridal Portraits Session was absolutely perfect and I love how this gallery came out!
